Dr. Bettina Wollanke studied at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hanover and received her license to practice.

She subsequently worked as a locum veterinarian, and since 1993 she has been a veterinary staff member at LMU, initially at the “Surgical Veterinary Clinic” and, following the restructuring of the clinics in the mid-1990s, at the “Equine Clinic.” She received her Ph.D. in 1995 and her habilitation in 2002 (both on equine recurrent uveitis = ERU).

She has been a private lecturer since 2003 and is authorized to teach in the field of “Equine Diseases.”
